Professional Development Workshops: Working with Children

Allora Wellbeing provides practical, engaging professional development workshops for practitioners who work with children and families. Our workshops support professionals to build confidence in engaging children therapeutically, particularly when traditional conversation-based approaches are not effective.

Drawing on our team's clinical experience, we explore creative, developmentally appropriate ways to connect with children, communicate their experiences and support therapeutic change. Workshops can incorporate practical activities and other hands-on approaches that can be adapted across different ages and presentations. We aim to equip professionals with strategies they can use immediately in their practice, while strengthening their understanding of the importance of relationships, safety, and curiosity when working therapeutically with children.

As well as direct clinical practice, the Allora Team are established workshop facilitators and supervisors, providing consultation to individuals and groups to improve wellbeing.

Our workplace wellbeing seminars are designed to provide practical, engaging and psychologically informed support that staff can take into their professional and personal lives. Drawing on our team's experience across mental health, family wellbeing and therapeutic practice, we tailor workshops to the needs of your organisation and workforce.

Topics can be designed around areas such as stress and burnout, emotional wellbeing, resilience, healthy relationships, parenting and maintaining wellbeing through life’s transitions. Our approach is warm, accessible and grounded in evidence, creating space for meaningful conversations while providing practical strategies that staff can use both at work and at home.
