Family Therapy

Service Information

Family therapy emphasises the importance of understanding someone within their relationships and circumstances. It is an approach that combines a number of systemic frameworks that can be used with families, couples, and individuals.

Enhancing Family Relationships

During family therapy, family relationships and dynamics will be explored to understand how a family unit works and how individuals interact and influence one another within the family unit.

Family therapy aims to create a safe space for each individual to be able to express themselves and explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. The process aims to enhance empathy and attunement of family members, promote problem solving skills and support family members to develop a greater understanding of one another.

Family therapy can help with improving communication, understanding family patterns and emotional processes, family problem solving as well as supporting overall family relationships and emotional health.
