Understanding Payment Options

Anyone can receive a rebate under the Medicare Better Access Scheme. Rebate’s range from $82.30-93.95 per session. This is available when a GP writes a Mental Health Care Plan. and allows a rebate to be available for up to 10 sessions per year.
Please note some types of therapy such as couples counselling and family therapy are not eligible for a Medicare rebate.

Sessions can be funded through your NDIS package if you are self-managed or plan-managed. We have very limited availability for this kind of work, please contact us to discuss.

Some private health funds cover sessions for counselling with social workers or psychologists. It is advised that you discuss this directly with your fund. Please note that if you seek a rebate through private health, you cannot claim a Medicare rebate for the same session.

We do not provide reports for court proceedings.
Sessions are between 50-60minutes long. Sometimes your therapist may suggest a longer session, which is charged at the same hourly rate as above.
We offer in-person and online sessions.
